SANY Reach stackers win recognition in Georgia, USA

Jan 01,1970

In July 2016, three units of SANY reach stackers SRSC4545C2 were delivered to Cordele Inland Port’s new container yard, in the US State of Georgia. They are by far the largest reach stackers in North America. After witnessing its outstanding performance, the state Governor Nathan Deal spoke highly of SANY port equipment and expected more SANY machines to participate in new ports in Georgia.

The new container yard will play a key role at the Cordele Inland Port because of its large freight volume and geographic position. Once in operation, it will transport about 30,000 containers by rail between Cordele and Savannah, a key Atlantic seaport in Georgia. It will help reduce the congestion of the port expressway and overall operating costs.

Handling machinery at the container yard has to undertake cross-rail lifting, and so machines are required to have outstanding hoisting capacity, high flexibility, and also be equipped with an extra-long wheel base.

SANY reach stackers meet all the customer’s requirements and can be used for 20'–40' containers and lift 45-ton containers cross rail. With the combination of the best of Chinese and German technology, SANY reach stacker is highly durable and stable. It is equipped with intelligent control technology that detects real-time working parameters, and able to automatically adjust operation under dangerous conditions to prevent rollover.

This high-performance reach stacker also uses a number of industry-leading technologies and protection systems, including an anti-collision system, automatic fire suppression, solid tire suspension system and automatic braking technology.
